Country boy Lee Tong (Yuen Biao) gets into trouble frequently. He goes into the city to try his luck and immediately, his pocket is picked. Chasing after the thief, Lee meets young girl Ah Fung and knocks over the top soccer player, King, by accident. Fung and her brother Kido take lee in and the two boys decide to become professional soccer players. King's ball club accepts Lee only because King wants to settle the score with him. King is bribed to lose in a game. He pretends to be injured and sends in the inexperienced Lee who plays brilliantly and the team wins. Later, Lee is beaten up in a club, Lee and Kido change to a rival club and continue to face King's team. However, Lee just cannot be beaten so easily anymore.
