The 70s weaves together history, fiction and music to re-create the tapestry of a decade that began with the murder of four students at Kent State and ended with the election of Ronald Reagan and saw three U.S. Presidents, the Watergate scandal, the end of the Vietnam War, the rise of the women's movement, mandatory school busing, a surreal mass suicide, and a proliferation of happy face stickers, disco, Donna Summer and the hustle.
