Mui Kwong-chiu The Composer, Stage and Visual Concept

Dr. Mui Kwong-chiu is a renowned and active Hong Kong composer. His works won acclaims particularlyin multimedia works, Chinese orchestral pieces, choral and harmonica music. He received his PhD and MPh in music composition from the University of Hong Kong. He also graduated from the Hong KongBaptist University majoring in Cinematography.
Dr. Mui has been composing and arranging music upon commissions for various renowned performinggroups, music festivals and important events in Hong Kong and abroad, including 2010 Shanghai Expo Hong Kong week (also as music director), 2009 East Asian Games, the 2008 Olympic Torch-Relay ceremony in Hong Kong, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra (HKCO), Hong Kong Dance Company, Radio TelevisionHong Kong, The World Harmonica Festival in Germany (WHF), Asia Pacific Harmonic Festival (APHF), The International Society of Contemporary Music and Hong Kong Arts Festival. His compositions include multimedia works Let Dreams Fly, Percussive Colors, his Chinese orchestral works include Rhapsody of Color Clouds Chasing the Moon, Bring in the Wine, Bauhinia Concerto for Suona and Guanzi and multimedia works Intoxicating Nature for the HKCO. His other works include Hong Kong Dance Company's Spring Ritual o Eulogy; and the New York Festival award-winning RTHK productions Hong
