Mark waston and his rommate Gordon are accepted to Harvard Law School. While their dreams come true. Mark's parents suddenly withdraw his financial support.
Mark cannot help but darken his skin and wins a full sholarship given to black students only.
At Harvard, Mark is accepted by classmates and admired by the beautiful classmate, Sarah, who attends Professor Banker's Criminal Law Course with mark. One one side Mark is pursued by the landlord's daughter, Whitney, and on the other he has to avoid the detection by his parents.
The film begins as a economic roadblock and then becomes a comic adventure. The love entanglements fosters a new understanding in Mark. When he knows his trick should not entitle him to the scholarship, he faces a crisis of confidence.
