On a beautiful island in Seto Inner Sea, Seichi and Miniko make their living from transporting rocks to construction sites by boats. They cherish the deepest affection for this piece of land they are attached to and enjoy their simple there. Rapid industrial development, however, makes it impossible for them to carry on such a living style. They are forced to leave their beloved hometown in search of a brighter future, but with their everlasting longing to reture....
