Two years after Down with Love, Taiwan heartthrob Jerry Yan returns in My Splendid Life, the Chinese remake of the hit Korean drama Brilliant Legacy. In the latest idol drama from the producer of A Story of Lala's Promotion, Jerry plays Liu Yuhao, a spoiled rich kid who wastes his days on seeking pleasure to avoid taking responsibilities. Meanwhile, Xia Qingtian (Yedda Chen), a girl working in his family's restaurant chain, has won the favor of Yuhao's grandmother, who owns the restaurants. Qingtian used to live in affluence, but she lost everything when her father died in an accident and her stepmother Lin Manyi (Yvonne Yung) took her entire family fortune. Yuhao's grandma surprisingly announces that she will let Qingtian inherit the restaurant business instead of the willful Yuhao, pitting the two young people in direct confrontation. But as the rivals gradually get to know each other, they will find love and the power to overcome the challenges in life.
