Eternal Beloved (China Version)
The story stars in the tragic period romance Eternal Beloved. Making her directorial debut, Jiu captures a love that should have never been with the message, in his first silver-screen leading role. Based on the novel Yin Xing, Yin Xing, Eternal Beloved evokes an old-fashioned cinematic ambience in its portrayal of a star-crossed love born from enmity. The film is beautiful to look at with sweeping pastoral scenery and cinematography by Lai Yiu Fai. The film is vengeance that brings Jiu to the mountain home of Ming , whose older brother killed her entire family. To Jiu, Ming is just a tool for her revenge. But Ming falls deeply in love with Jiu and takes her as his wife.
