September 24, 1990, The Gulf War. Two united States Air Force F-16 fighter jets make a routine recoonaissance run in the no-fly zone over Iray, when unexpectedly, an Iraqi jetliner is spotted in NATO airspace. Captain Lee Banning, on alert, prepares to chase the straggler home. Captain John Doc Holiday, flies in for a closer look, signalizing a warning to retreat. Suddenly, out of nowhere, three Iraqi MIGs close in, opening fire on the F-16s and launching their missiles. Doc and Banning retaliate and a dogfight rages until Doc takes a hit, and plummets to the Iraqi soil in an inferno...
