While on excursion to study others' culinary skills for his own improvement, little cooking master boy Kwong (Sik) befriends Ming, a noodle vendor, and Uncle Nan, owner of the famous "True Flavor" Diner. They decide to participate in the first annual "China Gourment Feast Tournament", in hopes of winning big money.
