Glenn Miller's great american music lives again in this movie musical milestone presented in stereo that tells the story of the legendary bandleader's life and times. Jimmy Stewart and June Allyson star as the first family of swing, a couple totally devoted to each other as they climb from obscurity and poverty to fame and wealth. The dance and swing tunes that symbolized the WWII ear punctuate the touching story with incomparable renditions of such classics as 'Pennsylvania 6-5000,''Chattanooga Choo Choo' and 'Moonlight Serenade,' performed by members of the original Glenn Milter Orchestra.
