A wild hound terrorises a village, claiming several lives. Chief Inspector Lui Tat, together with Inspector No. 5, comes to investigate. A darker deceit is suspected. It turns out that sanatorium director Yau Fong-yan owes big money to gangster boss Kiu Yat-po after an aborted collaboration. Kiu keeps an eye on his pry by disguising as a gardener. He inadvertently falls in love with Yau's sister-in-law Koo Mei-chi and becomes horribly disfigured while saving her from the attack of a hound. To evade the relentless creditor, Yau fakes falling victim to the ferocious canine. The detective follows the hound to Kiu's drug den, trailed by Kiu, to find Yau. The ensuing showdown results in the death of both the two foes and the hound.
